index "Nikki" Japanese declines from its highest levels

Tokyo, April 28 / WAM / The Japanese Nikkei index fell today from the highest level ever recorded in the previous session as investors awaited the policy decision of the Bank of Japan after the oil price shock.
The Nikkei fell 0.6 percent to 60,174.75 points after closing above the 60,000 point level for the first time in Monday’s session.
The broader Topix index rose 0.28 percent to 3,745.35 points.
