Iran asked America to lift its blockade in exchange for reopening the Strait of Hormuz

An informed Pakistani official told the Washington Post on Tuesday that Iran has asked the United States to lift its blockade of Iranian ports, in exchange for Tehran reopening the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic.
The newspaper added that the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, did not specify whether Tehran would still ask ships to coordinate passage with it or pay fees.
