The University of Dubai launches the fourth edition of the Entrepreneurship Competition 2026 to support innovation

The University of Dubai launched the fourth edition of the “Dubai University Entrepreneurship Competition 2026”, as part of its continuing efforts to enhance the culture of innovation and motivate young talent to transform their creative ideas into applicable projects that contribute to achieving sustainable development goals.

The university announced the opening of registration for the competition, in conjunction with organizing a series of specialized sessions and workshops for the participating teams, with the aim of supporting them in developing their ideas and formulating their presentations in accordance with best practices.

The final qualifiers are scheduled to be held on May 1, 2026 at the university’s headquarters in Academic City, reflecting its continued commitment to supporting the entrepreneurship ecosystem at the local and international levels.

The competition targets university students and graduates who completed their studies during the past five years, as well as researchers who have innovative, applicable ideas in the fields of sustainable development. It also provides participants with a package of qualitative opportunities that include financing winning projects, incubation within business incubators, in addition to providing opportunities to communicate with industry leaders, investors and decision-makers.

University President Dr. Issa Al Bastaki stressed that the competition represents a strategic platform to promote innovation and entrepreneurship at the state level, pointing to its role in enabling young people to transform their ideas into successful projects that support building a sustainable and diversified economy, in line with the vision of the UAE.

The general supervisor of the competition, Engineer Mohammed Abboud, explained that the initiative provides an integrated environment for guidance and strategic direction, and contributes to enhancing participants’ opportunities to reach markets and customers through the university’s incubator linked to the Mohammed bin Rashid Program to support emerging companies.
