23 startup companies benefit from the “Dubai Entrepreneurs” accelerators

The Dubai Entrepreneurs Headquarters, a joint initiative between the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai and the Dubai Chamber for the Digital Economy, announced the successful completion of the first phase of the business accelerator programs. These programs, which were implemented in partnership with the international company “Plug and Play” in the field of innovation, contributed to presenting a new practical model that accelerates the transformation of innovative ideas into successful and implementable projects.
These programs brought together 23 startup companies by Emirati and resident founders over a period of 100 days, in addition to five of the most prominent companies from the initiative’s partners. The initiative resulted in providing 36 opportunities to test the feasibility of their ideas in a practical way, of which 15 projects reached advanced stages of evaluation, while three companies were able to sign cooperation agreements.
Executive Director of the Dubai Economic Development Corporation, the economic development arm of the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, Hadi Badri, said: “The accelerator track within the Dubai Entrepreneurs headquarters is designed to meet challenges and accelerate the ability to develop innovative solutions and adopt them in the market. By linking emerging projects directly with decision makers in companies and regulatory bodies, we work to accelerate the implementation of solutions and create the environment to establish clear paths for growth and expansion.”
In turn, the Acting Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Ahmed Al-Roum Al-Muhairi, said: “These programs have fundamentally contributed to enabling Emirati entrepreneurs to move to actual application in the market, as by providing organized access to guidance and counselling, partners from the private sector, and business opportunities, we are witnessing Emirati entrepreneurs moving from the stage of developing ideas to achieving a tangible impact in business.”
For his part, Dubai Chamber Vice President for Digital Economy, Saeed Al Gergawi, said: “Through the Dubai Entrepreneurship Headquarters, the Chamber is keen to support company founders in transforming their ambitions into commercially successful companies, which contributes to consolidating Dubai’s position as a premier global destination for entrepreneurship, innovation, and fast-growing digital projects.”
