ARADA recorded 100 million safe working hours without injuries on construction sites in the Aljada community

Sharjah, April 30, WAM / Arada Real Estate Group recorded a new achievement by completing more than 100 million safe working hours without lost-time injuries at work sites in Aljada, the integrated community with a total sales value of 35 billion dirhams in New Sharjah, where Arada adopts an innovative methodology based on giving priority to the human element, and this important milestone in the company’s journey confirms the extent of its commitment to health and safety priorities in all its urban projects.
This major achievement in the field of occupational health and safety comes after the completion of construction work in the Naseej neighborhood in Aljada earlier this year, where more than 9,000 homes have been delivered so far within the master plan, which extends over an area of 24 million square feet since the start of construction work during 2018.
The avenue features a modern office and corporate complex, a thriving cultural heart, and entertainment spaces, with more than 20,000 people currently inhabiting it. The completed works include residential, retail, hospitality, entertainment, sports, education, trade, infrastructure, and landscaping. The first package of homes was delivered to owners in the community at the beginning of 2021.
Ahmed Al Khashibi, CEO of Arada Group, said that the safety of workers on the front lines remains Arada’s top priority, whether in Aljada or in any of the group’s other projects, expressing pride in this milestone achievement, which establishes a new standard for health and safety in the real estate development sector at the level of the Middle East region and beyond.
He added that Arada has established an institutional culture based on accountability, the application of strict systems and procedures, and the adoption of a proactive approach to risk management within its projects, which has made it possible to introduce the safety component to any potential operational pressures at work sites. He pointed out that recording more than 100 million safe working hours without lost-time injuries at Aljada is tangible evidence of its commitment to the highest standards of health, safety and environmental excellence, in addition to its exceptional operational discipline.
It is noteworthy that the Aljada community, upon completion, will include more than 25,000 residential units, four hotels, a new major commercial center in the emirate, three international schools, and a large shopping center, within a sustainable green master plan.
