Bahrain expresses its categorical rejection of the statements of the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its categorical rejection of the recent statements issued by the spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and stressed that they represent blatant and unacceptable interference in the internal affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and a clear violation of the principles of sovereignty and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries.

The Ministry also affirmed that the Kingdom categorically rejects the Iranian allegations that lack credibility, and stressed that the attempt to portray legal and sovereign procedures as human rights violations represents unacceptable politicization and deliberate misrepresentation of the facts.

The Ministry explained that it is continuously monitoring this unfortunate behavior carried out by the Islamic Republic of Iran over the decades. It also made clear that such interference in the internal affairs of other countries undermines their security and stability, in flagrant violation of international law and the principles of good-neighborly relations.

The Bahraini Foreign Ministry reiterated the need for Iran to adhere to the principles of the United Nations Charter, and called on it to stop its escalatory policies and irresponsible statements, respect the sovereignty of states, and refrain from interfering in their internal affairs.
