Trump decides to increase duties on cars from the European Union to 25%

Washington, May 2 / WAM / US President Donald Trump announced that he will raise customs duties on cars and trucks coming from the European Union to 25 percent, justifying this by the bloc’s lack of commitment to the trade agreement concluded with Washington.
Trump said, “Given the European Union’s non-compliance with the trade agreement concluded between us, within the next week I will raise the customs duties imposed on European Union exports of cars and trucks to the United States.”
