Oil prices jump 5% amid news of renewed confrontations in the Strait of Hormuz

Oil prices rose by more than 5%, and the US dollar index rose after the Iranian Navy announced, on Monday, that it had prevented an American warship from entering Strait of Hormuz.
As a result, futures contracts for Brent rose more than $5 to $113.65 a barrel, after recovering from an initial decline during Asian trading hours.
