Badr Jaafar: The strength of the UAE economy is based on an integrated cooperative system

Abu Dhabi, 5 May / WAM / His Excellency Badr Jaafar, Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Business and Charitable Affairs and CEO of Crescent Enterprises, confirmed that foreign direct investment is external confidence, while local investment is national conviction and certainty.

He said in his keynote speech at the “Make in the UAE 2026” exhibition: While foreign investment is by nature variable, local investment remains firmly rooted, unshaken by fluctuations and difficulties.

In his speech, he touched on the remarkable investment performance recorded by the UAE last year, in addition to direct foreign investments that amounted to $45.6 billion.

He stressed that the strength of the UAE economy is based on an integrated cooperative system in which the government is the guiding and enabling arm. As for family companies, which constitute more than 60% of the gross domestic product and 80% of the national workforce, their role is to intensify quantity and expand scope and influence, as sovereign funds contribute to depth and sustainability.
