A 4.4 magnitude earthquake southwest of Kuwait

Today, an earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale struck southwest Kuwait.

The Kuwait National Seismic Network stated, in a statement, that it identified the location of the earthquake in the “Al-Manaqish” area at 1:27 p.m., noting that it was at a depth of 5 kilometers underground.

It should be noted that the southwestern regions of the “Manaqish” region were exposed in mid-March 2025 to another earthquake, with a magnitude of 3.9 at the time.
