“Response Plus” launches the long-range air ambulance during “Made in the UAE”

The CEO of Response Plus Holding Company, Dr. Rohil Raghavan, said that the launch of the first long-range air ambulance, Challenger 605, includes a qualitative step that strengthens the advanced medical evacuation system in the UAE and the region, and supports the speed of response to critical and complex cases.
Rohil Raghavan added, on the sidelines of the activities of the fifth edition of the “Make in the Emirates 2026” platform, that the new aircraft is equipped with the latest medical technologies to operate as an integrated intensive care unit in the air, allowing the provision of high-quality health care to patients during air transport operations, pointing out its ability to carry out direct transcontinental flights with a range of up to 4,000 nautical miles, which contributes to reducing the time of transporting patients between countries and enhancing the chances of saving lives in critical times.
He explained that launching the air medical evacuation service comes within the company’s strategy to expand the scope of healthcare services outside hospitals, noting that Response Plus has more than 10 years of experience in the field of pre-hospital services, which includes operating field clinics and medical services at work sites and airports.
Raghavan pointed out that the company recently launched, in cooperation with a specialized international partner, air medical evacuation services, making it the first company to provide this service from Abu Dhabi, where patients are transported via private planes to global destinations including the United States, Europe and Asia.
He stated that the company also provides patient transportation services via commercial flights, by equipping specialized medical teams to accompany patients during travel, which allows greater flexibility in meeting the needs of different cases.
He pointed out that the operations of the new service via the long-range aircraft have recorded approximately 158 flight hours since its launch, which included the implementation of multiple flights to international destinations, in addition to dozens of transfers via commercial flights.
Raghavan stressed that this step represents a qualitative leap in the field of medical logistical services, and contributes to consolidating Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading regional center for advanced health care and emergency services.
