The Head of State and the Egyptian President discuss fraternal relations and regional developments

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, received his brother, President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, who is on a fraternal visit to the UAE.

During the meeting, His Highness and the Egyptian President discussed fraternal relations and various aspects of cooperation and ways to enhance them, especially in areas that serve the common development priorities of the two countries and bring growth and prosperity to their peoples.

The two sides also reviewed developments in the regional situation and their repercussions on regional and international security and stability, and exchanged views on them.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi renewed his condemnation of the Iranian terrorist attacks targeting civilians and civilian facilities in the UAE, stressing Egypt’s solidarity with the state towards all the measures it takes to protect its security and sovereignty and ensure the safety of its lands, citizens, and residents.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President, and a number of ministers, officials and the delegation accompanying the Egyptian President, which includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Egyptians in Outside, Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, and a number of officials.

His Highness the President and President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi had made an inspection visit to the Egyptian fighter detachment stationed in the country, to see the readiness and efforts made to enhance operational capabilities and prepare for various challenges.

During the visit, His Highness and the Egyptian President were accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Office for Special Affairs, Minister of State for Defense Affairs Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Fadel Al Mazrouei, and a number of senior officers of the Ministry of Defence.
