“Emaar” strengthens the national industry by 70 billion dirhams through contracts during “Made in the Emirates 2026”

Emaar Properties concluded its participation in the fifth edition of the “Make in the Emirates” exhibition, the largest edition to date, confirming its commitment to supporting the industrial system in the UAE and enhancing local value, and recorded contracts worth approximately 70 billion UAE dirhams, confirming its continued commitment to strengthening local supply chains and driving economic value within the country.

The “Make in the UAE” exhibition was held at the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi from May 4 to 7, 2026, for the fifth year since its launch as a pivotal national platform that brings together manufacturers, investors and strategic partners. Under this year’s slogan, “We Emerge Stronger,” the exhibition continued its role in accelerating the growth of the industrial sector in the country, attracting more than 122,500 visitors, 1,000 exhibitors, and 300 speakers, and contributing to concluding purchase agreements worth more than 168 billion UAE dirhams over the course of its previous editions.

Emaar’s presence at the exhibition witnessed remarkable interaction and strong demand for its pavilion, as the company communicated with a wide network of local manufacturers, suppliers and stakeholders in the sector.

Through these meetings, Emaar explored new opportunities to strengthen partnerships and integrate locally produced materials and services into its projects, in line with the UAE’s vision to enhance national added value, support innovation, and build a flexible and diversified economy.

During the exhibition, Emaar presented an interactive experience under the slogan “Building with vision, achieving with Emirati competencies”, through which it highlighted its role as a pioneering Emirati success story and its contribution to national development through its residential complexes and the retail, hospitality and tourism sectors. The experience also highlighted Emaar’s impact in supporting the growth of local suppliers, empowering Emirati talent, and its integrated system of destinations, in addition to confirming its commitment to enhancing local procurement and supporting companies operating in the UAE.

As part of the opening day activities of the exhibition, Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Emaar, participated in a high-level dialogue session on family businesses and their role as pillars of flexibility and continuity, where he reviewed the lessons learned from previous economic events and the importance of building strong institutions capable of keeping pace with challenges. He also stressed the role of long-term thinking, discipline and flexibility in sustaining growth, pointing out that institutions with a well-established structure are more able to adapt and move forward strongly in light of market changes.

Emaar’s participation reflects its ongoing efforts to contribute to national priorities by supporting local companies and enabling them to participate in major development projects.

The company continues to prioritize cooperation with local partners in the areas of construction, design and operations, ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards, while at the same time supporting the growth of the industrial base in the UAE.

This participation comes as an extension of Emaar’s cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology within the National Program for National Added Value, as the company works to integrate local content considerations into its procurement strategy, encourage the adoption of suppliers, and support the growth of companies operating in the UAE and national competencies.
