The Pentagon releases files on unidentified flying objects

The Pentagon has begun releasing new files on UFOs, and said the public can draw their own conclusions about the phenomenon of UFOs that cannot be identified by conventional means and pose a potential threat to national security.
In addition to the Pentagon, the effort is led by the White House, the Director of National Intelligence, the Department of Energy, NASA, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Today, Friday, the Pentagon stated in a post on the “X” platform that while previous administrations sought to cast doubt on the matter or dissuade the American people from it, President Donald Trump “is focused on providing the utmost transparency to the public, who can ultimately form their own opinion about the information contained in these files.”
The Pentagon added that additional documents will be released gradually and continuously.
A recently uncovered website containing documents related to unspecified anomalous phenomena has a distinctly old character, as the page displays black-and-white military photographs of flying objects, along with texts written in a typewriter-like font. The first batch includes 162 files.
One document details an FBI interview with a person identified as a drone operator, who reported that in September 2023 he saw a “straight object” with light bright enough “to see lines within the light” in the sky.
According to the FBI interview: “The object was visible for five to ten seconds, then the light went out and the object disappeared.”
The Pentagon has been working for years to declassify documents related to unidentified flying objects, while Congress established an office in 2022 to undertake the task of declassifying these materials.
