المملكة: New regulation of fees.. 8 ports announce the dates for calculating and collecting floor fees

Announced The General Ports Authority Update the timelines for the actual implementation of transferring the jurisdiction of calculating and collecting storage “floor” fees to it in eight Ports, to enhance organizational and operational efficiency, according to a circular directed to the business sector.
This measure comes in implementation of the regulatory regulations for calculating and collecting storage fees in ports, which were approved by a decision of the Board of Directors of the General Ports Authority last March.

The Authority explained that the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority will calculate and collect storage fees for the periods prior to the date of the actual implementation of the transfer of jurisdiction.
The timetable showed that the actual transfer in King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam began on April 1, 2026, while it will be implemented in Jubail Commercial Port on May 10.
The Authority has set the sixteenth of this month as the date for the start of implementation in both King Fahd Industrial Port in Jubail and Ras Al-Khair Port.
Application deadline
She indicated that the transfer of jurisdiction to collect storage fees at the Jeddah Islamic Port will come into effect starting from the first of next June.
The Authority has approved the twenty-first of next June as the date for final implementation in the Yanbu Commercial Port, the King Fahd Industrial Port in Yanbu, and the Jazan Port.
The General Ports Authority confirmed the entry into force of this supplementary circular as of the date of its issuance, with the cancellation of all previous instructions and decisions that conflict with its provisions.
