The UAE Ambassador presents his credentials to the Secretary-General of ASEAN

JAKARTA, June 10, 2018 (WAM) – His Excellency Mohammed Ahmed Al Qamzi presented his credentials to His Excellency Dr. Kao Kim Horn, Secretary-General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), as Ambassador of the UAE Mission to ASEAN, during a ceremony that took place at the ASEAN General Secretariat in Jakarta.

His Excellency Kim Horn wished His Excellency Al Qamzi success in his work tasks, and the development and strengthening of multilateral relations in various fields that bring the country together with the members of ASEAN, stressing his readiness to provide all possible support to facilitate his tasks.

For his part, His Excellency Al Qamzi stressed the UAE’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the organization and member states. He also expressed his pride in representing the UAE in the organization and his keenness to support the organization’s goals and tasks, and to consolidate and activate multilateral relations in various fields in a way that contributes to consolidating the bonds of relations between the UAE and the member states of the Association.
