China’s foreign trade rose 14.2% in April

BEIJING, May 10 (WAM) – The General Authority of Customs of China reported yesterday, Saturday, that the country’s yuan-denominated foreign trade rose last April by 14.2% on an annual basis.
According to the authority’s data, the total value of imports and exports of goods reached 4.38 trillion yuan (about 639.4 billion dollars) last month.
The value of exports increased by 9.8% compared to the same period last year, reaching 2.48 trillion yuan, while the value of imports increased by 20.6%, reaching 1.9 trillion yuan.
During the first four months, China’s foreign trade reached 16.23 trillion yuan, an increase of 14.9% year on year.
