“Banking flexibility” allows installments to be postponed for up to 3 months for individuals and 6 months for companies

Banking sources revealed to Emirates Al-Youm directives to be flexible with bank customers, whether they are companies or individuals whose salaries or financial flows have been affected in the recent period.
The sources, who preferred not to publish their names, reported that bank departments directed employees to accept requests to postpone installments for three months for any individual customer whose salary was affected in the recent period, even if he had previously exhausted the times of postponement allowed annually.
According to these sources, banks are showing great flexibility to companies as well, granting them postponements extending up to six full months.
The sources explained that banks offer great facilities in accepting applications even if the customer has exhausted the postponements allowed annually earlier, noting that banks can be contacted by visiting the branch, calling the customer service centers, or by submitting a postponement request via the smartphone application.
She stressed that this comes within the framework of the banks’ initiatives to provide facilities to their customers, which allows individual customers to reorganize their priorities and financial obligations without pressure. It also supports companies, especially small and medium-sized ones, and provides them with the necessary liquidity.
