The Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa announces the sighting of the crescent of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah next Sunday evening

The Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa announced the sighting of the crescent of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah on the evening of Sunday, 29 Dhu al-Qi’dah, corresponding to: May 17, 2026 AD, in coordination and cooperation with observatories and national centers at the state level, through the following website platforms:

– Shawaf Al Khatm, in cooperation with the International Astronomy Center.

– Shawaf Dubai, in cooperation with the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai.

– Shawaf Sharjah, in cooperation with the Sharjah Space and Astronomy Complex.

Investigations will be conducted using the latest methods and modern technologies.
