Session in "Addis 2026" Discusses the development of the project implementation system in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, 13 May / WAM / The session “Excellence in Implementation: Achievement on a Large Scale, Speed and Efficiency”, within the work of the Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit “Addis 2026”, discussed the foundations of developing the project implementation system in Abu Dhabi, and the role of strategic partnerships and modern technologies in accelerating achievement according to the highest standards of quality, efficiency and sustainability, thus enhancing the emirate’s position as a global model in advanced infrastructure development.
His Excellency Engineer Issa Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Director General of the Infrastructure Development Sector at the Department of Municipalities and Transport, stressed during the session that excellence in Abu Dhabi represents a commitment and a work approach adopted by various parties within development projects and initiatives, indicating that the emirate continues to consolidate its position as the “capital of capitals” and the safest country in the world, while maintaining the quality of life and stability even in light of challenges.
He explained that the sustainability of project implementation according to the highest levels of quality is achieved through strategic partnerships with elite international contractors and consultants, stressing the continuation of attracting more international companies to participate in future projects, in a way that supports the implementation of projects with international standards and using the latest technologies to ensure their sustainability for future generations.
He pointed out that Abu Dhabi adopts a participatory approach based on the involvement of all parties from the early planning stages, including identifying future needs and developing plans spanning twenty-five years, in a way that enhances readiness, flexibility and speed of implementation.
He also stressed that the emirate deals with consultants and contractors as true partners within a system that achieves mutual benefit, while being open to development proposals and ideas, and giving contractors flexibility to provide innovative implementation methods supported by advanced research and development capabilities.
He added that the Abu Dhabi government continues to support initiatives and projects that enhance the speed of achievement, based on a vision based on anticipating the future and accelerating the achievement of goals, according to an approach based on accomplishing what can be implemented today without delay.
With regard to employing artificial intelligence technologies in the contracting sector, Tamer Shafiq, Vice President of the Business Development Sector at Orascom Construction, confirmed that experienced contractors rely on historical data and analysis of similar projects to anticipate future challenges and variables during implementation.
He explained that artificial intelligence depends on the quality of inputs provided to it by companies, which makes human experience and professional analysis pivotal and indispensable elements, noting that these technologies have become an important tool in verifying and analyzing data, while practical experience remains the decisive factor in making accurate executive decisions.
