The inflation rate in France reaches its highest level since mid-2024

The rate of consumer price inflation rose to its highest level since mid-2024 last April.

This is largely due to the sharp rise in energy costs, according to data from the French Statistics Office today.

In contrast, food prices fell from 1.8% to 1.2%, while the prices of manufactured goods fell by 0.6%.
