To its highest levels…inflation rose in France last April


Consumer prices in France during last April reached their highest levels since mid-2024; Due to the sharp rise in energy costs.

The French Statistical Office revealed, in data published today, an increase in the rate of – the main driver of high inflation – rose by about 31.4% on an annual basis, and the services inflation rate recorded 1.8% compared to 1.7% in the same period.

In contrast, food price growth slowed to 1.2% compared to 1.8% in March, and prices of manufactured goods fell by 0.6%, while consumer prices rose on a monthly basis by 1% last month, maintaining the same levels as I recorded it in March.
