The UAE confirms its consistent approach to protecting its sovereignty and supporting the stability of the region

The United Arab Emirates continues its consistent approach based on supporting the security and stability of the region, in coordination with regional and international partners, based on its firm commitment to maintaining regional security and stability and sparing the peoples of the region the repercussions of conflicts.

The UAE condemned in the strongest terms the Iranian attacks and threats targeting the country and countries in the region, which included the launch of approximately 3,000 ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones towards the UAE, which resulted in deaths and injuries among civilians, in addition to damage to civilian infrastructure, in a clear violation of the sovereignty of countries and a direct threat to the security and stability of the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed, in a statement, that all measures taken by the UAE came within the framework of defensive measures aimed at protecting its sovereignty, civilians, and vital infrastructure, in line with the state’s right to protect its national security and maintain its stability. The Ministry affirmed that the UAE reserves all its sovereign, legal, diplomatic and military rights in the face of any threat or hostile action, and that attempts to pressure or promote biased allegations will not affect its firm positions, and will not dissuade it from protecting its highest national interests and preserving its sovereignty and the independence of its decisions.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also confirmed that the UAE continues to coordinate and consult closely with the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council, along with regional and international partners, in support of the security and stability of the region and to enhance joint Gulf action.
