Britain deploys a new anti-drone missile system in the Middle East

Today, Britain announced the deployment of a new advanced, low-cost missile system in the Middle East region to confront various drone attacks.
The British Ministry of Defense explained in a statement that the new system uses a laser guidance system that turns unguided missiles into low-cost precision weapons capable of shooting down enemy drones and other threats.
The statement indicated that the system was recently used in operations in the Middle East with air sorties carried out by Typhoon fighter aircraft belonging to the Ninth Squadron of the British Royal Air Force as part of the missions of defending British interests and its partners in the region from ongoing threats.
The statement stressed that developing low-cost systems provides a more effective and sustainable way to confront the growing threat of drones to British forces.
