Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural Center launches "Homeland Shield" A platform to appreciate the protectors of the home
Al Ain, May 18 / WAM / The Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural Center, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence, launched the “Nation Shield” initiative, under the patronage and presence of His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Wajib Volunteer Society, during a national ceremony held at the Zayed Library in Al Ain to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the unification of the UAE Armed Forces. The ceremony included the launch by His Excellency of the “Thank You, Protectors of the Homeland” platform to appreciate members of the armed forces, and the inauguration of the “Protectors” book. House,” in addition to honoring the partners who supported the initiative.
Sheikha Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions, confirmed that the initiative expresses the community’s loyalty to the armed forces and preserves the national memory for future generations, noting that the golden jubilee of the unification of the armed forces represents a major occasion to renew the pledge with the values of loyalty and belonging, and she appreciated the role of the Ministry of Defense and the supporting partners in the success of this national work.
Colonel Maya Al Mazrouei, the official spokesman for the fiftieth anniversary of the unification of the armed forces, stated that the development of the armed forces over five decades was based primarily on investment in the human element, stressing that strength is now measured by qualified minds and national competencies capable of innovation.
The ceremony, which was attended by prominent figures and strategic partners, witnessed national visual presentations and keynote speeches by Aisha Al Maeeni, Head of the UAE Sector at Mashreq Bank, and Maryam Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Foundations.
