Al-Khalaf welcomes the growing role of the IMF office in Riyadh

Welcome Deputy Minister of Finance Abdul Mohsen bin Saad Al Khalaf on the growing role of the International Monetary Fund in Riyadh as a regional platform that enhances its presence in the region, looking forward to achieving further progress in this framework during the coming year.
He pointed to the great value that the office adds through technical courses and organizing and hosting high-level policy dialogues on important economic issues for the region.
This came during Al-Khalaf’s participation in the second edition of the high-level strategic dialogue between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the International Monetary Fund, which was held on Sunday in the city of Riyadh, in the presence of leaders from the International Monetary Fund.
/>The dialogue aimed to discuss the partnership efforts between the Kingdom and the International Monetary Fund in supporting capacity development in the region and the activities of the International Monetary Fund’s regional office in the Kingdom.

Supporting economic policies in the region

During the dialogue, Al-Khalaf stressed the most prominent goals for developing the existing cooperation between the Kingdom and the Fund and enhancing the desired impact, reiterating his emphasis on the strength of the existing partnership.

He explained that the Kingdom will remain an active partner in supporting and developing economic policies in the region, expressing his appreciation for the spirit of cooperation that has formed The features of this dialogue, stressing the Kingdom’s determination to continue this joint path.

The strategic dialogue is an important opportunity to exchange views between the Kingdom and the International Monetary Fund on regional and global economic developments, discuss common priorities, and explore new paths to enhance coordination in policies and support the resilience of economies and the sustainability of growth in the region.
