Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait organizes a workshop to introduce its employees to leadership development opportunities within the national project “Lami’”

The Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, the leading bank in the field of retail and institutional banking services in the Kingdom of Bahrain, organized an introductory workshop for its employees about the national project “Lami’”, the leading national platform for discovering, refining and highlighting the elite of Bahraini youth talents, within the framework of the bank’s keenness to support the participation of its cadres in qualitative national initiatives that contribute to developing leadership skills and enhancing the capabilities of promising talents.

The workshop was moderated by Ahmed Mubarak and Afnan Shams, employees of the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, in their capacity as ambassadors for the national project “Lami’,” where they presented the employees with a comprehensive overview of the program, including its objectives, methodology, most prominent stages, and the selection and acceptance criteria it adopts. They also shared their practical experience with the program, and the opportunities it provided for them to learn, develop, and expand their professional and leadership horizons, highlighting the added value that the program provides, in order to encourage their fellow employees to join the next editions.

The Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait is proud of the achievement achieved by Ahmed Mubarak, one of the winners of the fifth edition of the “Lami’” program, along with Afnan Shams, who emerged as one of the competencies selected to participate in the program from among a wide group of applicants. This achievement reflects the competence, ambition and ability of the bank’s employees to excel within the national programs aimed at preparing future leaders.

On this occasion, Ms. Sarah Jamal, Chief Human Resources Officer at the Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, said: “We are proud of our ambassadors in the “Lami’” program and the achievements they have achieved that reflect the ambition of the bank’s staff and their ability to excel in specific national initiatives. We are also proud of their initiative to share their experience with their colleagues within the bank, which enhances the culture of continuous learning, cooperation and knowledge transfer within the work environment, and supports building the necessary capabilities to benefit from the opportunities offered by specialized national programs.”

She added: “The ‘Lami’ Program represents a valuable opportunity for learning and professional development, and an important national platform for refining promising Bahraini competencies and preparing them for future leadership roles. It is worth noting that the national project “Lami’” was launched in 2021 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, as a national initiative focusing on preparing the next generation of Bahraini leaders through an integrated program that combines training to develop leadership skills and promote innovation. Since its launch, the project has contributed to supporting a wide range of young people with high potential and enabling them to assume leadership roles in various sectors, in line with the goals of the comprehensive development process in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
