Mansour bin Zayed attends a lunch hosted by Sultan bin Hamdan

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister, Head of the Presidential Cabinet, attended the luncheon hosted by Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, President of the Camel Racing Federation, in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi, in the presence of a number of senior officials and camel owners from the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
His Highness exchanged friendly conversations with the attendees that addressed the importance of camel racing as an integral part of the cultural and heritage heritage of the UAE and the Arab Gulf states, and the cultural value it represents that reflects the attachment of the people of the region to their authentic customs and traditions, and their keenness to preserve this ancient heritage and pass it on to future generations.
The talks also touched on the prominent role played by the final annual festival, “Al Wathba Final 2026,” in enhancing the status of camel racing at the regional and international levels, as it is one of the most prominent and largest festivals specialized in this traditional sport, and the wide participation and strong competition it witnesses in each session that reflects the growing interest in this authentic sport.
The attendees stressed that the festival’s continued successes contribute to consolidating the UAE’s position as a global center for preserving heritage and enhancing its presence, and embodying the vision of the wise leadership in supporting heritage sports and preserving the national heritage, in a way that enhances national identity and establishes authentic values in society.
The reception witnessed the presentation of popular songs and songs performed by traditional bands, celebrating the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in a national scene that embodied the depth of cohesion between the leadership and citizens, expressed pride in the authentic Emirati cultural heritage, and reflected feelings of welcome and appreciation for His Highness.
