We have redirected 100 ships since the start of the naval blockade on Iran

The US Central Command (Centcom) announced that its forces have redirected more than 100 commercial ships, as part of implementing the naval blockade on Iran, noting that more than 200 American aircraft and warships are participating in implementing the blockade.
It indicated in a statement that US forces began implementing the blockade on April 13, against commercial ships entering and leaving Iranian ports, in implementation of President Donald Trump’s decision.
It stated that during the past six weeks, more than 15,000 soldiers, sailors, marines, and air force members have redirected 100 ships, disabled four ships, and allowed the passage of 26 humanitarian aid ships.
Commander of US Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper, said, “Our force members are performing an exceptional job. They are carrying out their mission with great effectiveness, precision, and professionalism, which has led to a complete cessation of trade to and from Iranian ports, which has put economic pressure on Iran.”
Cooper pointed out that more than 200 American aircraft and warships are participating in the mission, including the aircraft carrier group Abraham Lincoln, the aircraft carrier group George H. Bush, the amphibious landing group Tripoli, and the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, in addition to a number of destroyers equipped with guided missiles.
The Central Command indicated that the blockade is imposed on ships belonging to all countries entering or leaving Iranian ports and coastal areas, including all Iranian ports on the Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
