"Pioneers" It organizes its fourth annual forum and celebrates its achievements in 2025

Sharjah, May 20 / WAM / The Sharjah Foundation for Supporting Entrepreneurial Projects “Ruwad”, affiliated with the Department of Economic Development, today organized the activities of the fourth edition of the Foundation’s annual forum.
The forum was attended by His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Economic Development, Mrs. Fatima Al Ali, Acting Director of the “Ruwad” Foundation, and representatives of a number of government agencies, strategic partners and supporters, and male and female entrepreneurs who own projects that are members of the Foundation.
His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud stressed that the annual forum of the “Ruwad” Foundation represents an important platform for enhancing effective communication between the entities supporting the entrepreneurship sector and consolidating the partnership between government and private institutions and citizen entrepreneurs in the emirate, which contributes to supporting the national economy and stimulating small and medium enterprises for growth, sustainability and development.
He pointed out that the continuous successes achieved by “Ruwad” projects reflect the amount of support given by the wise leadership to the entrepreneurship sector, and its keenness to empower Emirati youth and provide the appropriate environment to transform ambitious ideas and initiatives into successful projects capable of contributing effectively to the process of economic and social development.
The forum reviewed the most prominent achievements achieved by the Foundation during the year 2025, in addition to honoring the strategic partners and government agencies that support the government procurement program and distinguished pioneering projects, as well as displaying inspiring examples of the success stories of a number of member projects.
In turn, Fatima Al Ali confirmed that the positive results achieved by the Foundation reflect the growing volume of cooperation and integration between the supporting bodies and partners, noting that the year 2025 represented an important station in the “Ruwad” journey, especially with the issuance of Executive Council Resolution No. (47) of 2025 regarding organizing the Foundation’s membership program, which aims to develop the support system and provide more flexible benefits to member projects, including exemption from government fees for projects due in accordance with the approved controls.
She also touched on the “Road to Pioneers” platform launched by the Foundation as part of the “Make in the Emirates” initiative, with the aim of enhancing the access of national entrepreneurs to government procurement opportunities and linking them to various government agencies within more than 24 economic activities.
The event witnessed the organization of an interactive segment entitled “My Project in 30 Seconds,” during which a number of the male and female entrepreneurs present were given the opportunity to introduce their projects and experiences to the audience, which contributed to enhancing communication and exchanging opportunities and experiences between project owners and participating entities.
