Our upcoming agreement with Iran will be the “antithesis” of Obama’s deal

US President Donald Trump confirmed that the agreement that his administration seeks to conclude with Iran will be radically different from the agreement signed by the administration of his predecessor Barack Obama, describing it as a “good and appropriate” agreement, while directing harsh criticism at skeptics and previous US administrations.

The opposite of the Obama agreement

In firm statements, Trump made it clear that the current negotiation path is completely different from the previous approach, saying: “Our agreement with Iran is the opposite of the Obama agreement,” noting that the administration of former President Barack Obama committed a grave mistake when it granted Tehran “enormous sums of money and a clear and open path toward possessing a nuclear weapon.”

Response to skeptics: “Don’t listen to losers”

In a direct response to the wave of criticism that affected the ongoing talks, Trump stressed that the terms and details of the potential deal are still not announced, and he clearly stated: “The agreement with Iran has not been seen by anyone, and do not listen to the losers who criticize something they know nothing about.”

The US President acknowledged that “the negotiations have not yet been completed,” but he reassured his supporters about the quality of the expected outcomes, stressing: “If you conclude an agreement with Iran, it will be a good and appropriate agreement.”

Blame previous administrations

Trump did not miss the opportunity to blame his predecessors in the White House, accusing them of failing to resolve the Iranian issue early. “I don’t make bad deals, unlike my predecessors,” he said confidently, adding that “they should have solved the Iran problem years ago” instead of leaving it to escalate into a crisis facing his current administration.
