The framework agreement with Iran has been completed by “95%”

An American official revealed to Fox News on Sunday that the framework agreement with Iran has been completed by “95%,” but they explained that negotiators are still haggling over the “linguistic wording” of details related to Tehran’s nuclear stockpile and the Strait of Hormuz.
A critical deadline and no signature imminent
A senior US administration official said: “We will not give in easily. We have not reached an agreement yet, and we will not sign any deal today or tomorrow.” He added that President Donald Trump’s “intuition” tends to give the Iranians a period ranging between “5, 6, or 7 days” to cross the agreement to the finish line.
The official stressed that the course of the negotiations is governed by a firm policy known as “No dust, no dollars” (No Dust, No Dollars), noting that Tehran agreed “in principle to the general framework, and we have accomplished 95% of the mission.”
Waving the military option
The official explained the nature of the current dispute, saying: “We have an agreement on the nuclear stockpile and the Strait of Hormuz, but we are still negotiating the language,” reiterating the administration’s adherence to the “no dust, no dollars” approach.
He continued, explaining the expected strategic gains: “We have an opportunity to conclude an agreement that will reduce costs for the Americans, while ensuring that the Iranians do not obtain a nuclear weapon at the same time.”
The statement was not without a clear hint of force, as the official stressed in a decisive tone: “We will not conclude a bad deal, that is for sure. We have alternative options, and we can resume military strikes if an agreement fails.”
“Time is on our side”
In a related context, on Sunday, President Trump issued clear instructions to his negotiating team “not to rush to conclude the agreement,” assuring them that “time is on our side.”
These developments come one day after Trump made statements on Saturday, in which he indicated that the upcoming agreement with Iran — which he preferred to describe as a “memorandum of understanding” — had been “mostly negotiated.”
