Abu Dhabi Police calls on families to protect their children from the dangers of fireworks during Eid

The Abu Dhabi Police General Command called on parents to strengthen family supervision and educate children about the dangers of using fireworks and explosives during the days of Eid Al Adha, stressing that these behaviors constitute a direct threat to the safety of children and lead to serious injuries and accidents that may spoil the atmosphere of joy and celebration.

Abu Dhabi Police confirmed that fireworks annually cause various injuries, including burns, facial disfigurements, eye and hand injuries, in addition to the possibility of fires and property damage, noting the importance of not allowing children to buy or use them under any circumstances.

She urged families to establish a culture of safety among their children, direct them to positive and safe behaviors during the celebration of Eid, and to stay away from dangerous practices that threaten their security and safety and the safety of others, stressing that maintaining the safety of children is a shared societal responsibility that requires everyone’s cooperation.
