“Community Development” in Dubai distributes 27.7 million dirhams as “Eid gift” to 11.7 thousand beneficiaries on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha

The Community Development Authority in Dubai implemented an initiative to distribute “Eidiya” on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha, which included more than 11,700 beneficiaries from the categories registered with the authority, with a total allocation of 27.7 million dirhams, in a step that embodies authentic Emirati values ​​and strengthens the system of social support and family stability in the emirate.

The initiative came in conjunction with the approaching Eid Al Adha and within the objectives of the “Year of the Family,” and as an embodiment of Dubai Social Agenda 33, as it included families and individuals benefiting from social financial benefits, minors, fishermen, and senior citizens.

Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai, Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid, confirmed that these initiatives translate the values ​​of compassion and solidarity that characterize UAE society, and reflect the authority’s keenness to strengthen community partnerships to bring joy to the hearts of families and deserving groups on blessed occasions, noting that Dubai continues to consolidate its position as a global model in humanitarian work through specific initiatives that place people and families at the heart of its development priorities.

The initiative was implemented in partnership with a number of governmental, private and charitable entities, including the Endowments Foundation and Palace Fund Management, Union Cooperative, Dubai Land Department, Khalifa Juma Al Naboodah Group, Beit Al Khair Society, Dar Al Ber Society, and Tarahum Charitable Foundation, which reflects the integration of efforts and the consolidation of the culture of giving in the emirate.

The initiatives included a contribution worth 5 million dirhams provided by the Beit Al Khair Association, in cooperation with the “Joud” platform, in support of the Community Development Fund.

The initiative also included supporting the fishermen category through prepaid cards provided by Union Coop, in addition to the authority organizing a participatory design session to determine their living needs and ensure the sustainability of the support directed to them.

The Authority also implemented an accompanying humanitarian initiative in cooperation with the Emirates Food Bank of Dubai Municipality, which consisted of distributing 250 fruit baskets that were delivered directly to the homes of beneficiaries, including 65 beneficiaries of the “Waleef” initiative to care for senior citizens, and 185 beneficiaries of members of senior citizens’ councils in the Al Barsha area, as an embodiment of the values ​​of integrated care and community well-being.
