Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, during a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, affirmed Egypt’s position calling for a peaceful settlement of all crises in the region, and its categorical rejection of any attack on the sovereignty of the Gulf states or threatening the integrity of their territories, while stressing the importance of being flexible, avoiding miscalculations, and providing sufficient opportunity for the diplomatic path.

The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, stated that the phone call dealt with the efforts made to reach a memorandum of understanding between the American and Iranian sides, where Al-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s full support for the existing negotiating path between the American and Iranian sides, stressing the importance of reaching a final agreement that puts an end to the escalation and restores security and stability to the region.
