The Head of State performs Eid al-Adha prayers at Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, performed the Eid Al-Adha prayer at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Presidential Office, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Surur bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Zayed Al Khair Foundation, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Zayed Al Khair Foundation, also performed the prayer alongside His Highness. The Eid sermon dealt with the value of honesty, its images, and its great impact on the individual and societal levels. Under the title “Our Eid is Honesty and Sacrifice,” His Excellency Dr. Omar Habtoor Al-Darai, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, said that honesty is the shortest path to trust and has the longest effect, and that trust generates strength, and with strength you stabilize societies and build civilizations, adding that the state’s leadership believed their intentions and united their resolve, so they founded the nation on honesty from the first day. He became firmly established.

Al-Khatib pointed out that honesty is the sign of a person’s loyalty to his homeland, and the proof of his sincerity, and through it, homelands live dear and societies remain great. The honest are the guardians of the homelands and loyalty is evident in their positions.

He explained that among the forms of honesty is that you preserve the secrets of your homeland, protect it from its ravages, and be an impenetrable bulwark in the face of those who lurk in it. Likewise, honesty includes the good parenting of children, the sincerity of the teacher in his message, the mastery of the employee in his work, and the diligence of every person in his place so that the homeland increases in its advancement, and to the extent a person is sincere in his affiliation, he elevates his homeland.

After the Eid prayer, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan exchanged congratulations with the crowds of worshipers on this blessed occasion.

Then, His Highness and the sheikhs read Al-Fatihah for the soul of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him.
