Shopping mall offers are beneficial for families… and it is better if they come before the “Eid Day”

Shopping malls in Dubai witnessed a remarkable demand from families, with many stores offering offers that coincide with Eid Al-Adha, and the launch of the May 2026 edition of the “3 Days of Big Sale” event, organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Corporation, one of the institutions of the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, and starting on the first day of Eid Al-Adha until May 31 of this month.
Consumers told Emirates Today that the offers offered are useful and provide multiple options for shopping and buying gifts, especially as they coincide with the Eid al-Adha holiday period, and spending a long period of time in shopping centers during the holiday days, pointing out that they would have preferred to offer many offers before entering the “Eid Day,” given that consumer behavior is based on purchasing the supplies of families and their members, such as clothes, shoes, and other needs before entering the Eid Day.
For their part, retail trade officials said that keeping up with major offers and discounts during the Eid al-Adha period contributed to stimulating sales at varying rates, especially with many families and shoppers in general preferring to visit shopping centers during the Eid period. They pointed out that many families prefer to spend a long period of time in shopping centers, with the integrated services they provide, which increases shopping opportunities and thus increases store sales.
Shoppers’ opinions
In detail, shopper Muhammad Adel told Emirates Today: “Various stores launched Eid al-Adha offers, in addition to the ‘big sale’ event in shopping malls in Dubai, which provided many options and opportunities to buy gifts.”
For his part, shopper Sami Ibrahim saw that the discount offers currently offered in various shopping centers in Dubai are beneficial for shoppers and families, and he said: “It could have been more beneficial if these offers had been before the start of Eid Al-Adha, as it is customary for shoppers, and families in particular, to prepare to buy clothes, shoes and other needs.”
As for shopper Amr Abdel Ghani, he said that many families spend a long time in shopping centers during the Eid al-Adha holiday period, especially as we enter the summer season and the temperatures rise, which makes these offers useful for shopping and purchasing gifts and goods offered within the sales. He agreed that “offering the offers before Eid would have been more beneficial as families prepared to buy for their children,” and said: “It was possible for these offers to continue during the Eid holiday and beyond.”
In the same context, shopper Muhammad Hassan said, “The offers currently offered provide many opportunities to purchase gifts, especially with the expansion of the offers to include more diverse products such as electronics, perfumes, personal care products, cosmetics, furnishings and furniture, in addition to clothes and shoes.”
Sales activation
In addition, the sales official at a ready-made clothing store, Jadish Rakhi, said, “The offers offered during the current period have contributed to increasing and stimulating sales at varying rates, especially as these offers coincide with the long Eid al-Adha holiday period, which allows shopping opportunities to increase many times over.”
For his part, the sales official at an electronics store, Muhammad Mansour, pointed out that “shopping centers witnessed a remarkable demand from families and shoppers in general to take advantage of the discount offers, Eid, and events (3 days of major sales),” noting that the preference of many families to spend a long period of time in shopping centers, and with the integrated services they provide, increases shopping opportunities, and thus increases store sales.
As for the sales official at a shoe and leather products store, Baiju Joy, he told “Emirates Al-Youm” that “the discount offers that attracted a large number of families in shopping centers in Dubai contributed to stimulating sales at great rates,” pointing out that the discounts offered during the current period exceed 70% in many stores.
