16 students were killed in a fire in a girls’ academy residence in central Kenya

At least 16 students were killed as a result of a fire that broke out in the Otomishi Girls’ Academy residence in the Nakuru region in central Kenya, according to what the media announced on Thursday, quoting a Kenyan official.

The official said that emergency rescue teams were combing the residence where the fire broke out, and firefighters and police deployed to the place to combat the fire and evacuate the other female students.
