As part of Operation “The Gallant Knight 3”… UAE desalination plants in Rafah, Egypt, continue to pump water to Khan Yunis

The Emirati desalination plants in Rafah, Egypt, continue to play their vital role in supporting the Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip, as part of Operation “Gallant Knight 3,” by producing desalinated water and transporting it through the Emirati desalination line project to the city of Khan Yunis, which contributes to providing one of the most important basic needs of the population in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions that the Strip is going through.

The Emirati stations include 6 desalination plants with a production capacity of up to two million gallons of water per day, as they work to treat and desalinate water and pump it through the Emirati line designated for transporting water into the Gaza Strip, to benefit the Palestinian brothers in the targeted areas, most notably the city of Khan Yunis.

The work of the stations is supervised by an Emirati engineering team within the Emirati humanitarian aid team in Al-Arish, assisted by an Egyptian engineering team, where the specialized teams follow up on the operation, production and pumping work on a daily basis and around the clock, to ensure the continuity of water flow and its efficient arrival to the beneficiaries within the sector.

These stations are part of the vital humanitarian projects implemented by the UAE to support the water sector in Gaza, in light of the major challenges the sector is witnessing in infrastructure and basic services, as desalinated water represents one of the most important aspects of direct support that touches the daily needs of the population.

Operation “Gallant Knight 3”, which was launched by the UAE to support the Palestinian brothers in the Gaza Strip, continues to implement its various humanitarian, relief and medical projects, through land convoys and air and sea aid, in addition to the UAE floating hospital in Al-Arish, the field hospital inside Gaza, and water and relief projects, which reflects the UAE’s firm commitment to its humanitarian approach in standing by the brotherly peoples in times of crises.
