Etihad Airways flies to Krakow and Palma de Mallorca

ABU DHABI, 12 JUNE / WAM / Etihad Airways announced the launch of two new European routes this month, Krakow and Palma de Mallorca, strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as one of the most connected destinations in the world.
Antonualdo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, said: These two new routes are evidence of Etihad’s ambitions in Europe, as Krakow and Palma de Mallorca are considered among the most attractive destinations on the continent, and by connecting them directly to our headquarters in Abu Dhabi, we are opening new horizons for guests traveling for leisure or business purposes.
He added: We are working to strongly strengthen our route network, to provide our guests with more tourist places to discover and distinctive travel experiences, and our flight schedule also makes it easier to visit Abu Dhabi or stop in and discover it.
According to the carrier, this launch reflects Etihad’s long-term commitment to the Polish market, as Krakow has become the company’s newest destination in the country, after Warsaw, which was launched in June 2025.
On June 12, 2026, one day after the launch of Krakow, Etihad launched its new flights to Palma de Mallorca, the vibrant capital of the Spanish Balearic Islands.
This flight is the first direct flight linking the Balearic Islands to the East, and is operated by an Airbus A321LR.
For guests traveling from Abu Dhabi and beyond, Mallorca, Ibiza and other islands are easily accessible destinations in the Mediterranean with just one trip.
Guests from Poland, Spain and the Balearic Islands can now travel on a smooth direct flight to Abu Dhabi, which is a gateway to the Middle East, Africa, Asia, India and Australia, with the possibility of extending their trip with a short stop in the Emirati capital, to enjoy world-class cultural attractions, quiet beaches, and learn about authentic Emirati hospitality.
