Al Raffa Police Station in Dubai honored the young man, Mohammed Ali Chirakal Mohi, of Indian nationality, for his good honesty after he found 100,000 dirhams in a parking lot and handed it over to the station, to be returned to its owner who lost it without knowing it, within just 3 hours.
The Director of the Al-Rifaa Police Station, Colonel Ahmed Obaid bin Hudayba, in the presence of his deputy, Colonel Saleh Hassan Al-Marzouqi, and the Head of the Customer Happiness Department at the Al-Riffaa Center, Captain Ali Haji Al-Balushi, received the young man Mohi at the station and honored him for his good honesty.
Colonel Bin Hudayba stressed that Dubai Police is always keen to honor members of society for their honesty and their keenness to hand over found items to police stations in order to hand them over to their owners, which reflects the positive image of security and safety in UAE society, praising the honesty of young Mohi and his keenness to hand over the money to the center in order to return it to its owner.
The details of the story go back to the fact that the owner of the money, who is the owner of a private company in the field of shipping, went to a bank and withdrew an amount of 200 thousand dirhams and put it in a paper envelope, then he quickly went out to his car without closing the envelope tightly, and a package consisting of 100 thousand dirhams fell from the envelope without him noticing, so he got into his car and left the place. After that, the young man, Mohi, came to the parking lot, and was surprised by the amount of money in front of him, so he proceeded to photograph him and the place where he found it, then he went to the Al-Raffa police station, handed over the amount, and directed the Dubai Police to the place.
Al-Raffa Police Station conducted an investigation and follow-up to be able to identify the owner of the amount of money. Within 3 hours, the center contacted the owner of the amount, who was surprised that he had dropped the amount without noticing it, so he came to the center and received the money.
The owner of the money expressed his sincere thanks to the Dubai Police and the young man who found the money, praising the level of security and safety in the Emirate of Dubai.
