The US military disrupts a ship trying to reach Iran

The US Central Command, Centcom, announced on Saturday that it had disabled a cargo ship that was trying to sail to an Iranian port and break the blockade.
Centcom stated in a statement on its page on the “X” platform that its forces disabled a Gambian-flagged ship that was on its way towards an Iranian port after issuing more than 20 warnings to it and informing it of violating the American blockade.
The statement added that an American fighter launched a Hellfire missile towards the engine room of the ship named “Lyan Star” after its crew refused to comply and its path was intercepted before it reached Iran.
