Al Baraka Group sponsors as a global partner the Third World Summit on Islamic Economy in Istanbul

Al Baraka Group B.S.C. (c) “the Group” announced its sponsorship as a global partner in the Third World Summit on the Islamic Economy, which will be held under the slogan: “Capital in the Islamic Economy: Structuring Wealth for Sustainable Development,” during the period from 3 to 6 June 2026 in the Istanbul Financial Center in the Republic of Turkey. This sponsorship comes as an extension of the role that the Group has played for nearly five decades in supporting and developing the Islamic economic system globally, and enhancing the position of Islamic banking as a model that combines economic efficiency and development. The summit will witness broad participation from leaders of governments, central banks, international financial institutions, senior economists and decision-makers. The summit program includes strategic sessions and specialized workshops discussing the future of the Islamic economy and capital, in addition to the “CEO Dialogue of Islamic Banks,” and a high-level session with the participation of central bank governors and ministers on re-engineering capital flows and enhancing economic integration, in addition to specialized sessions on sustainability, financial technology, and artificial intelligence, and the signing of a number of strategic memorandums of understanding. On this occasion, the member of the Board of Directors and Group CEO, Mr. Hossam bin Al-Haj Omar said: “Our sponsorship of this summit comes from Al Baraka Group’s firm commitment to supporting the progress of the Islamic economy globally, and enhancing its role as a major driver for achieving sustainable development and financial inclusion.” He stressed that the summit represents an important global platform for enhancing dialogue and cooperation between financial institutions, regulatory bodies and academic circles, which contributes to building a more sustainable economic system linked to the real economy.
