Wall Street’s performance was mixed at the beginning of Monday’s trading
Major stock indices started at ‘s trading today on , with investors awaiting and expected economic data.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 index recorded a slight increase at the beginning of trading, after adding 2.2 points, equivalent to 0.03%, to reach the level of 7582.29 points.
Performance of Wall Street indices
The Dow Jones Industrial Average also rose by 128.6 points, or by 0.25%, to reach 51,161.1 points, supported by gains in a number of leading stocks.
On the other hand, the Nasdaq Composite Index, which includes major technology companies, declined, losing 20 points, or 0.07%, to settle at 26,952.579 points.
