£25m from Arsenal makes Arteta the most expensive in England

The contract renewal file for Spanish coach Mikel Arteta has entered a decisive stage, in light of complex negotiations between him and Arsenal management regarding the financial details of the new contract, after the great successes the team achieved under his leadership during recent seasons.
The Telegraph newspaper revealed that Arteta’s new contract represents a top priority for Arsenal’s management, but many financial and negotiating aspects still need to be resolved before a final agreement is reached.
She said: “The current negotiations are seen as a starting point for a contract that may be among the largest in the history of Premier League coaches.”
She continued: “Arteta currently receives an annual salary of about 12 million pounds sterling, which rises to 15 million with bonuses and incentives linked to the results. However, the team’s recent sporting successes have strengthened the Spanish coach’s position at the negotiating table, especially after winning the English Premier League title and reaching the Champions League final.”
According to the report, Arteta seeks to become the highest-paid coach in the Premier League, as his new salary may start at 20 million pounds sterling annually, with the possibility of reaching 25 million through bonuses.
This number reflects the position that the coach now enjoys within the club, and the pivotal role he played in returning Arsenal to the competition for the biggest local and continental titles.
