Godolphin horses shine at the Woodbine Canadian track

The horses of the global “Godolphin” team continued their brilliance on international tracks, after they achieved, late last night, Saturday, two prominent victories at the Canadian “Woodbine” track in high-classification races.
The achievement came when the horse “Maycox Bay”, under the supervision of trainer Michael Stidham, won the title in the “Eclipse Stakes” race, designated for Class 2 horses (Group 2), to complement the success of the filly “DeLorean”, under the supervision of trainer Eoin Harty, who won the title in the “Bill Mahon Stakes” race, designated for Class 3 horses (Group 3).
The horsewoman Sophia Vives succeeded in leading “Maycox Bay” to impose his control over the course of the “Eclipse Stakes” race, covering the race distance of 1,700 meters in a time of one minute, 43 seconds and five hundredths of a second, to secure first place with a large difference of eight lengths from the second-place finisher, the Canadian horse “Stanley House”, under the supervision of trainers John and Jan Russell and led by jockey Leo Sallis.
For her part, the filly “DeLorean”, led by jockey Ryan Munger, showed a strong start when leaving the gates of the “Bill Mahon Stakes” race, before gradually advancing towards the front group. In the final stages, she revealed her true speed and pushed strongly towards the lead, crossing the finish line in first place over a distance of 1,700 metres, with a time of one minute, 44 seconds and 47 hundredths of a second.
“DeLorean” outperformed the American mare “Stylish Sue” by three-quarters of a length, which came in second place under the supervision of trainer Joe Sharp and led by jockey Rafael Manuel Hernandez.
