The Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award completes the evaluation of participants in its 22nd session

ABU DHABI, June 2, 2018 (WAM) – The Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award, one of the initiatives of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, has completed the final evaluation work for participants in its twenty-second session, in preparation for submitting the results to the Award’s Board of Trustees to approve the winners and select the most influential models in supporting economic development in Abu Dhabi.
The past months witnessed the implementation of a comprehensive evaluation process that focused on monitoring the real impact created by the entities and individuals involved in their various fields of work.
The final stage of evaluation reflects the award’s shift towards highlighting achievements capable of making a tangible difference.
The evaluation committees focused on measurable results and indicators that demonstrate the impact of development initiatives and programs on business, human resources and society.
The contributions that reached the advanced stages showed various models of private sector contributions in supporting development priorities, whether through developing national competencies, employing modern technologies to enhance productivity, expanding the scope of business to new markets, or building community partnerships and initiatives with a sustainable impact.
The award paid special attention to the participants’ ability to transform ideas and initiatives into practical results that are sustainable and expandable, reflecting the role of the private sector in enhancing economic competitiveness and establishing a more innovative business environment capable of keeping pace with future changes.
The twenty-second session attracted more than 230 applications for participation, with a growth of more than 80% compared to the previous session, while the evaluation process focused on measuring the impact and results achieved by participants in the areas of talent, technology, social responsibility, entrepreneurship, supply chains and exports.
The award emphasizes the importance of focusing on measuring the results and long-term impact of initiatives, thus enhancing the private sector’s contribution to achieving sustainable and comprehensive economic growth.
The final results are scheduled to be presented to the members of the Award’s Board of Trustees during the coming period for review and approval, in preparation for announcing the winners of the twenty-second session and honoring entities and individuals who have provided inspiring models in creating impact and achieving sustainable value for the economy and society.
The Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award, which was launched by the Abu Dhabi Chamber in 1999 and bears the name of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, continues its role in highlighting experiences and practices that contribute to supporting the development process and enhancing Abu Dhabi’s position as an attractive environment for business, investment and innovation.
