“SAMA”: The volume of bank credit increased to 3.37 trillion riyals by the end of April

The total bank credit granted based on economic activity in Saudi Arabia during the month of April 2026 amounted to about 3.376 trillion riyals, an increase of 0.6% on a monthly basis, and 8% compared to April 2025, according to what was revealed in the monthly bulletin issued by Central Bank of Saudi Arabia (SAMA).

Individual loans

Real estate loans

According to Central Bank data, the financing granted to real estate activities recorded about 411.1 billion SARin April 2026, an increase of 0.5% on a monthly basis, and by 9.6% on an annual basis.

Financial and insurance activities

Credit granted to financial and insurance activities amounted to 189.2 billion riyals in April 2026, an increase of 2.3% from March 2026, and 18.4% on an annual basis.

Administrative services And support

Bank credit directed to administrative services and support activities increased to 75.9 billion riyals in April 2026, an increase of 0.8% on a monthly basis, and by 11.5% on an annual basis.

Professional, scientific and technical activities

The credit granted to professional, scientific and technical activities in April amounted to about 18.7 billion riyals, an increase of 1% on a monthly basis, and a significant jump of 96.6% on an annual basis.

Human health and social work activities

Bank credit directed to activities reached Human health and social work 31 billion riyals in April 2026, up 3% on a monthly basis, and 24.5% on a yearly basis.

Education

Education activity received bank credit amounting to 8.2 billion riyals in April 2026, up 4.3% from the previous March, but decreased by 13.6% compared to April 2025.

Activities Other
