Kuwait: Resuming airline flights through Terminal 1 (T1) after assessing the damage

Today, the General Authority of Civil Aviation announced the resumption of all Kuwait Airways flights only from Kuwait International Airport via Terminal T1, after the technical teams and competent authorities completed assessing the damage and taking the necessary measures to ensure the safety of operational operations.
The resumption of flights comes after the T1 building was targeted by drones and missiles from the Iranian aggression, resulting in serious damage to a number of airport facilities, in addition to recording human casualties.
The authority said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the decision to resume operation came after field inspections and technical assessments conducted by the competent authorities in coordination with various relevant government agencies, to ensure the building’s readiness to receive flights and travelers.
The authority called on travelers wishing to continue their travels to coordinate directly with Kuwait Airways to find out their flight times and confirm travel details.
The authority stressed that the safety of travelers and workers remains a top priority, and that it will continue to coordinate with all relevant authorities to ensure continuity of operation in accordance with the highest standards of security and safety.
Earlier, the General Authority of Civil Aviation in Kuwait announced the suspension of flights and their transfer to alternative airports until further notice.
