Iran still has “21 to 22 percent” of its missiles

US President Donald Trump said today in an interview with NBC that Iran still has “21 to 22%” of its missiles, after more than three months of war in the Middle East.

“They have some missiles, they have some drones,” Trump said in an initial excerpt of the interview broadcast by the channel on Friday, before broadcasting it in full on Sunday. “I think the percentage of missiles they have remaining is between 21 and 22 percent. This is a large number of missiles, but it is not the amount it was when we launched our first attack.” In early May, Trump said that Tehran still had “18 to 19%” of its missile stock.

“Most drone factories have been destroyed, most launch sites have been destroyed, and most missile manufacturing sites have been destroyed,” he added in the excerpt.

Trump believed that Iran had “no other choice” but to reach an agreement.
